Advanced Diploma in Theology (Adv. Dip.)

This is a three-year, full-time programme.  Students will follow the same core curriculum as degree students but will do fewer courses overall.  They will be taught and marked at degree level.  If the student averages 60%, he or she may take electives over and above their core courses in their third year.

If, upon completing the Advanced Diploma programme, the student achieves an overall average of 60% or more, the student may apply for a fourth year.  During this fourth year the student will take the remaining degree courses, one of the required “mini-majors”, and their choice of electives in order to graduate with a four-year Bachelor of Arts in Theology degree.  Any courses which are required for Year Four but which had been taken earlier as an elective must be replaced by another elective being offered that term.

Curriculum

Programme for 3 year Advanced Diploma students and for Advanced Diploma students taking the 4th year transfer to BA.  (Figures in brackets reflect the number of hours per week).  The College reserves the right to amend or revise the curriculum from time to time in accordance with perceived needs.  This may result in changes to core courses, required courses and/or elective courses.
